Library
The Parkway School Library and Media Center has a growing collection of books, periodicals, online subscriptions, and audio-visual materials to enhance our curriculum and match our students’ interests. Please contact our media specialist if you’d like to volunteer for the school library.
Book Care
- When handling the library materials, be sure your hands are clean.
- When reading, use a bookmark to save your place, and turn the page from the upper right-hand corner.
- Keep library books away from food, drinks, pets, and younger siblings.
- In order to check out a new book, please return books you’ve previously checked out.
- Picture books are due weekly.
- Please do not mend damaged books at home. Return the damaged book to school for repair.
- For lost books, please contact our media specialist to make arrangements for replacement.
Behavioral Expectations
- Treat people and property with respect.
- During read aloud time, please sit quietly and attentively.
- Walk (don’t run) in the library, and speak at whisper volume.
- Be courteous, and share the computers.
- Treat others the way you want to be treated.
