National Custodian Day - October 2

On National Custodian Day, October 2, we would like to send our heartfelt thanks to all of the Paramus Public Schools custodial staff members! Over the summer, the staff performs the following tasks, among others, in every building throughout the district:

• Removes all furniture into the hallways to clean the space from ceiling to floor.
• Opens the classroom HVAC system to clean the inside.
• Changes ceiling tiles and light bulbs.
• Cleans windows, shampoos carpets and/or strips and waxes floors, and disinfects everything in each space.
• Power washes bathrooms (Kaivac) with disinfectant and scrubs the bathroom floors.
• Strips/waxes or diamond cuts the hallways, depending on floor type.
