At Parkway, our students know that a little cold won’t stop us from having fun. On days when temperatures dip below freezing or there’s a wind chill advisory, interested students can join our Polar Bear Club, a small but enthusiastic group that chooses to spend recess outdoors. Mrs. Barbi and a few brave lunch aides accompany these adventurers outside, while our remaining lunch aides remain indoors with students who prefer to stay warm. This structure ensures that every child has a safe, supervised option and can enjoy recess in the way that suits them best.
